There’s something to be said for a well-executed, natural bedroom design. I’m not talking about organic mattresses and hand sewn spin-them-yourself sheets (but hey if it works for you, then kudos), but the way people can so effortlessly weave together natural elements such as raw timber, jute rugs, fur throws (faux, of course) and a pot plant or six. Drop them all on a neat, crisp backdrop and you’ve created an earthy, simple space that takes you out of your bustling everyday and into a relaxing stroll through the rainforest. Almost. Come on, it’s pretty similar.
Look I’ll be honest, my first post is a bit of an excuse to trawl throughout the depths of Pinterest for three hours instead of studying for mid year university exams, but I hope you’re as big a fan of the fruits of my procrastination as I am.
WOODEN FEATURE WALLS
There’s a reason why this is the first post, well actually, there’s a few: polished concrete floor, reclaimed timber headboard, bedside table AND end of bed bench, mismatched boho cushions, crisp white linen. Such texture, much rustic.
Now I don’t have kids, being, you know, a 20 year old with about $5.86 in her bank account, but oh my gosh isn’t this AMAZING. Now this may be my age talking but when I have kids, I pray their rooms will look like this and not a jungle of seizure inducing colours and Made in China trinkets. Okay, yeah I’m way too young to comment.
MMMM dem exposed beams. There is drool sir, drool.
WOODEN HEADBOARDS + CRISP WHITE LINEN
