Today kids, we are discussing the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi.

Kintsugi is the art of repairing broken pottery or ceramics with powdered gold, silver or platinum. 88b4130b348e693ff2a28995c85ada66

Philosophically, it refers to breakage and repair becoming part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise and cover over. So, basically, the object is made even more gorgeous because of its breakage. What a beautiful concept. And, like, SO cool.

If you need me, I’ll be rifling through the priceless family heirlooms a little too carelessly, if you know what I mean. Although I doubt gold glitter glue is going to have the same effect.
